The second book that I found to be extremely inspirational and a catalyst for my own personal growth was Alice Miller’s The Drama of the Gifted Child. As Miller delves into the roots of childhood trauma and its lingering effects, the material just seems to draw you in. The terminology and examples were easy to understand, allowing the information to resonate deeply. A simple narrative such as why “we are how we are” in many different aspects became so much easier to grasp, and many parts of the book invoke a deeper thought process, long after you’ve read it through. Very insightful and very amazing, The Drama of the Gifted Child can be life changing if you’re ready to understand yourself and want to make changes to become a better individual.
